Rebranding

Redesigning a 13 yrs old CTDS website, a transportation, distribution, and storage business. The business had an old website with many usability challenges. The business owner wanted to update it to modern, clean, and seamless design yet keeping its content.

Case Study

Continental LLC is a 13 yr old, veteran run transportation, distribution, and storage business. The purpose of this UX case study of CTDS website is to improve the navigation experience for their current and new users. The main reason to redesign is to create a modern yet user friendly, seamless and frictionless interaction that attract users as well as business visibility. With a user's interaction to this new web interface, it is estimated that easy navigation and clear content with reduce 20% of user’s time and frustration and increase the revenue.

My Role


Design Process

The impression of a web experience is very quick. In this digital world, most users quickly scan the website, probably for couples of minutes. If the information and content is arranged neatly and hierarchy, it captures the users attention immediately and there is very high probability that will turn the visitor into a customer. The design process here focuses on the users pain-points and provides the possible solutions.

Analysis

+ The existing website’s content and information is not hierarchal organized.

+ The header image and footer real estate and content is misaligned and not used effectively.

+ The main “ Call to action” is missing on page like “Get a quote”. Adding "call to action" button on every page persuade the leads to make a conversion.

+ The user interface design is missing the “brand Image”.

+ The website in non-responsive so get misaligned for phone users.

+ The white space is missing hence the website looks busy.

Landing Page

Recommendations

+ The modern landing page style was chosen while keeping the content consistent for the existing customers. With the choice of blue color, it is creating a brand identity.
+ The header image is changed with a single image and reflects the services offered.
+ As per the CTDS business, they offer range of services but they direct the customer to “Get a Quote” for their customize need. So, the “Get a quote” is highlighted with the orange color to gain user's attention and visibility.
+ The white space added a lot of breathing space making content easily findable.
+ The testimonials are added as the business is so proud to offer the class services. Testimonials establish the credibility.
+ The real estate of footer is redefined and used it for social icons, and other quick links.
+ The chat bot action is added as it assists user to interact and find some common answers.

+ Pictures and Visuals are added to make it visually appealing as well as findable.
+ The white space added the visibility and description of services.
+ The main CTA “Get a Quote” is added for easy conversion.

Get A Quote Page

Recommendations

+ Apart from other branding, the “Get a Quote” form was redesigned to reduce cognitive overload. The form is made visually appealing as well as shorter.
+ Save for later option is added if the user change his mind and want to look into it later.
+ The CTA for “Submit” is added for easy recognition and visibility.

Contact Us Page

Recommendations

+ The mission of the brand is added to create brand connection.
+ The map of the address is added that makes it easier for the user to look for and hence reduces the resistance.
+ The contact details are organized and added illustration for easy visibility.
